Small-deposit tenant: deposit ceiling for top-priority protection
Set by enforcement decree and revised as prices move, so a figure quoted from an old guide is routinely wrong by tens of millions. It is also the figure most often misread as a safety guarantee: being under it protects a portion of the deposit ahead of secured creditors, not the deposit.

Seoul's figure. Other regions have their own, lower, thresholds — the Seoul number should never be applied outside it. The tenant must have met the opposing-power requirements before the auction commencement registration, and the total paid out under this rule is capped by reference to a share of the housing's value.
