Small-employer insurance subsidy: monthly pay ceiling
The support most often missed on a first hire, and the threshold that decides whether a candidate is inside it at all. It is also not a headcount rule despite being described as one: pay level, newness of enrolment, the support period and the employee's own property and income all gate it. Budgeting the subsidy in before approval is the mistake it invites.

For businesses with fewer than 10 employees, supporting 80% of the national pension and employment insurance contributions of both employer and employee for up to 36 months, on employees newly enrolled — generally meaning no national pension or employment insurance record in the preceding year. Support for those earning ₩2,300,000 or more is calculated on a ₩2,300,000 base. Employees whose prior-year property tax base reaches ₩600,000,000, or whose global income reaches ₩43,000,000, are excluded.
