Home internet: contract terms offered by major carriers
Recorded to contradict the idea that the three-year contract is the Korean standard and the only real choice. It is the most common and usually the cheapest per month, and it is one of several published options — which matters most to the people least suited to it, since a resident whose stay is uncertain is routinely signed onto thirty-six months without being told a no-contract price exists.

What we have recorded
- 2026-10-01none, 1, 2 or 3 years
Major carriers publish no-contract, one-year, two-year and three-year prices for the same service, with the monthly charge falling as the term lengthens. The gap between the no-contract and three-year price on the same speed is the discount being recovered if the contract ends early.
