4th generation: annual limit on manual and related therapies
The figure most quoted as though it described Korean indemnity insurance generally. It describes one generation's rider, and the fifth generation excludes several of these therapies from its non-severe cover altogether — so quoting it to someone buying a policy now is not a small inaccuracy but a description of a product they cannot buy.
- Applies to
- 4th generation policyholders claiming manual therapy, extracorporeal shockwave or prolotherapy
- Review cadence
- Checked once a year
What we have recorded
- 2021-07-01₩3,500,000 a year, up to 50 sessions
For manual therapy, extracorporeal shockwave and prolotherapy taken together. Alongside separate limits in the same rider for non-covered injections at ₩2,500,000 and 50 sessions, and non-covered MRI and MRA at ₩3,000,000. Session counts and cumulative claims have to be tracked together, since either can end cover for the year.

One reading so far. This becomes a history the first time the figure moves while we are watching — which is the part that cannot be reconstructed later.
