Employment income payment statement: employer’s filing deadline
Explains a gap people run into without understanding it: the reason your income data is not on Hometax in October is that the employer has not filed it yet. It also sets the practical rule for anyone leaving a job mid-year — within the same tax year the employer is the only source of the document, so it has to be obtained before contact with that employer becomes difficult.

What we have recorded
- 2026-03-1010 March
Employers file the annual employment income payment statement by 10 March of the following year. Until then the year's figures are not available through the Hometax payment statement lookup, and the employer-issued withholding receipt is the only copy in circulation.
