D-4 part-time work: weekday hour ceiling once the standard is met
The single figure a student needs to know before signing anything, and the one most often quoted from an out-of-date forum post. Set by administrative guidance, so it moves more readily than the statutory registration deadlines.
- Applies to
- D-4-1 language trainees holding a part-time work permit
- Review cadence
- Checked quarterly
What we have recorded
- 2026-09-0720 hours
Weekdays during term. Weekends and vacation periods are allowed a higher ceiling, indicated at 25 hours. Students who do not meet the Korean proficiency standard are held to roughly 10 hours a week across weekdays, weekends and vacation alike — so meeting the standard is what doubles the weekday ceiling, not what unlocks work at all.
